I've owned and been a big fan of Halo 3 for quite some time now. It's a very fun game to me, especially going online against other people and fighting them. The coolest part about the online battles is that I can call up a buddy and go online and meet him and play against the others with him, while being paired up with some others as well. It's always been a blast to me, and the fact that there are always thousands upon thousands on at a time show that I'm not the only one who thinks this. I've beaten the newest Halo game, Halo Reach, with my cousin and that was a lot of fun. Beating the story is fun in Halo, although the online is the clear leader in the fun of the game series to me. Recently at the E3 convention though, I learned something that makes me want to understand the story more fully and get into it more as well as the online gaming part of it.

Halo Anniversary Combat Evolved HD, a remake of the very first Halo game, is coming this November to the Xbox 360. It is the same game, same story, with major improvements. It will have better graphics and the joy of online gaming. It's only going to be $40 as well, which is great considering it's still technically a brand new game. But with this being the first game redone, it made me think about the fact that I never played Halo 1 or got to start the story at the beginning. To be able to see the beginning made me really think about the fact that there is a story worth seeing here, and now's the perfect chance to really take it all in!

Add that to the fact that at the same E3 Halo 4 was announced, and that gives perfect reason for me to take the entire story in. I own Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST, and have beaten Reach. So to start off where this legend of a game series all started off is really a great bonus to me. Halo has been a game series that has defined an entire genre, and it's always a major seller. It's arguably the best 360 exclusive (when it comes to home consoles, not including pc) game series. The series to date has sold over 40 million copies, making it one of the most successful gaming series of all time. It's still building too, for Halo 4 is to be the beginning of a new trilogy of Halo. So there will be at least 2 more games after Halo 4, and it's frankly a series that won't be going anywhere anytime soon. But in connection with Halo 4, there are terminals in this game, that are brand new, that will connect to the next game in the series. So besides starting off with the original story and all it's enhancements, I'll be able to see some of the connections to 2012's Halo 4, which gives me even more reason to pick the game up and experience it's greatness.

I'm a big fan of the Halo games, and I really can't wait until Halo Anniversary comes out later this year. It will be a great opportunity for fans like myself who missed out on the original to experience what started it all.
